Work will require power outage on Dec. 11
Rockwood, ON – In order to accommodate system upgrade work by Hydro One, some Alectra Utilities customers in Rockwood will be impacted by a planned power outage on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 4:00 am through 9:00 am.
This outage is required to allow Hydro One crews to work safely on the overhead electrical system. Approximately 300 customers in Rockwood will be affected by this outage for the duration of these critical infrastructure upgrades.
Alectra advises affected customers to prepare in advance for the planned outage, as services in the town may be without power (this includes stores, restaurants, churches, etc).
We understand how difficult it is to be without power and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. All impacted customers will be contacted directly in advance of this outage.

These safety tips will help you and your family during an outage:
- Make sure your appliances, such as the stove, are in the off position.
- Make sure your cellphones and devices are fully charged.
- Keep your refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible.
