St. Catharines, ON – On Wednesday, Stefanie Bonazza, Government and Industry Relations, and Faisal Rao, Manager, Station Sustainment, met with the team at Community Care St. Catharines and Thorold to celebrate the construction and maintenance of a new, secure parking lot for Community Care staff and volunteers.
“The new parking lot was donated at a critical time for the agency. As weather changes and the main parking lot at 12 North Street becomes busier than ever with traffic, the new, off-site lot will ensure the safety and security of staff and volunteer vehicles, while allowing for easier, safer access to donation drop off points, and client parking,” said Betty-Lou Souter, CEO of Community Care St. Catharines and Thorold.
Community Care of St. Catharines has been supporting the communities of St. Catharines and Thorold since 1919 by providing access to vital services like food and clothing security, housing supports and emergency services.
“At Alectra, we believe that powering our communities goes far beyond delivering electricity - it's about creating the space and opportunity for our neighbours to thrive,” said Brian Bentz, President and CEO, Alectra Inc. “We are very pleased to enter this partnership with Community Care St. Catharines to donate the use of our substation lot, giving their dedicated staff and volunteers a safe, convenient place to park their vehicles when serving community residents. Through this partnership, we are proud to support the critical work of Community Care St. Catharines.”
